Marathon training is well underway for the new season, including the Tunbridge Wells half on 18th February.
The rangers at Bewl Water have put together a 13.5 mile beautiful scenic and safe route using foot paths, country tracks with limited road sections.
The map below shows the route. You will notice the large red line around the ferry point peninsula, which gives you the additional mile. Without this mile you will complete 12.5 miles and which also includes steps.
Below shows the elevation map of the route. From around mile 6 you will begin your biggest ascent; by mile 8 you will be returning to a steady rise and fall with a final climb at around 11.5 miles.
And of course, after all that running you deserve to treat yourself. Why not pop along to the Boat House Bistro or Waterfront Café where you’ll find a variety of dishes to suit all dietary requirements.
